Engine Options
The V378 is available with a choice of gasoline or diesel power. Volvo Penta gasoline power is available in Twin 8.1 Gi 375 HP (inboard); and Volvo Penta diesel ranges from Twin IPS 400 with Joystick Control to Twin IPS 500 with Joystick Control. Electronic shift is standard with Volvo Penta. MerCruiser gasoline power is available in Twin 8.1 S DTS 370 hp (inboard). Digital throttle and shift is standard with MerCruiser power.

Main Description
Complete with Volvo’s revolutionary Inboard Performance System (IPS) and joystick control, handling and docking has never been easier on a substantial vessel. Socializing aboard the V378 comes naturally at the helm area with ample seating configured in conversational groupings. Below the hard top, the cockpit has been re-styled to maximize smart space usage. From the spacious port lounge to the generous U-shaped stern seating (with fill-in cushions), to the double width helm (driver side is manually adjustable), and map pockets, seating is smartly designed for entertaining. Seats feature Aquaflex vinyl and the cockpit includes marine carpet over the fiberglass liner. Custom-matched pillows are available, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the first steps aboard. Beautiful and functional Flexiteek flooring is optional in the cockpit for an easy-clean and slip-resistant option that looks just like real teak. A moonlit dip is delightful from the V378’s extended swim platform with blue courtesy lights and angled deep-reach hidden ladder with wide step pads for the swimmer’s comfort. The spacious platform is transformed to a virtual recreation center with all the options that can be selected. Using a center rail mounting system, a table, grill, fishing rod holders and a tube rack can quickly be attached. Showcase patriotic spirit with the new flag pole and holder option. Swimmers can enjoy optional Flexiteek flooring for minimal slipping, and there’s a hot/cold shower for rinsing away sand and debris. The optional underwater lighting creates a beautiful atmosphere with large light fixtures mounted below the swim platform, filling the surrounding water with a luminous glow. Strategically equipped with an icemaker, the V378’s on-deck refreshment center makes short order of frozen beverages with a standard blender, large solid-surface countertop, sink and refrigerator. For added style, the beverage holders are stainless steel. The standard removable cockpit table is convenient for snacks and socializing. It is also available with a solid hard wood top, polished for beauty and durability. A flat screen cockpit television is another option for keeping abreast of the latest news and best in entertainment via the standard cable TV outlet. For convenience, this boat has lots to offer: dockside inlets for power, telephone and water. A transom storage locker holds fenders, and the windlass includes foot controls, rope, chain and anchor. A remote flood/spotlight is standard. At service time, the engine hatch has electric assisted lifts.

Mid cabin can be partitioned with privacy curtains to conceal sleeping quarters effortlessly converted from the generous sofa using the clever electric sofa-to-berth switch. Adding to the comfort is the V378?s 18,000 BTU air conditioning and heating system for the perfect climate, no matter the season. The cabin?s multi-zone lighting and window system sets the mood for entertaining and allows for isolated lighting. Entertainment on cool evenings is convenient and versatile with two flatscreen televisions and DVD players mounted in the galley and V-berth. Plus, the new dual Sony stereos enable the boater to play separate stations at the helm and in the cabin to accommodate different tastes in different places. iPod/MP3 ports at the cockpit and cabin make it easy to tune in or charge a cell phone with the 12-volt charger. Clean-up is simple with the craft?s central vacuum system. The head and shower?s spacious design and function are added luxuries, with a porcelain VacuFlush head, and separated hot water shower. An elegant raised glass bowl sink and solid-surface vanity, along with a two-tier storage area, towel rack and overhead lighting make the space perfectly beautiful and efficient. Ventilation is no problem with the screened port light and power ventilation fan. Tank level indicators in the cabin help to ensure fresh water and waste are attended to as needed. A CO monitor is standard.
